Anthony Gonzalez was born and raised in Northeast Ohio and attended The Ohio State University on a full football scholarship before going on to become a first-round draft pick by the Indianapolis Colts in 2007. 

He spent five seasons in the NFL before retiring to go back to school and earn his Master’s degree in Business Administration from Stanford University, and later worked as Chief Operating Officer at Chalk Schools, a high-growth, education technology company. Click to Register.

Morning Conversation with Cuyahoga County Councilwoman and Democratic Party Chair Shontel Brown

Shontel Brown Greater Cleveland Partnership members are invited to a Morning Conversation with Cuyahoga County Councilwoman & Democratic Party Chair Shontel Brown.  

Ms. Brown serves as the Council Representative for district 9 – encompassing Shaker Heights, Pepper Pike, Orange, Highland Heights, North Randall, Bedford Heights, Bedford and parts of Cleveland.  Brown previously served on the Warrensville Heights City Council for three years.  She was elected Chair of the Cuyahoga County Democratic Party in August of 2017.

Prior to entering politics, Ms. Brown established a printing and promotions company called Diversified Digital Solutions that supports small to mid-size businesses with their marketing needs. 

Ms. Brown earned an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Cuyahoga Community College and volunteers as a Youth Ministry Leader at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church.

Apprenti, a program of the Washington Technology Industry Association (WTIA), has developed a talent pipeline model designed to bridge the talent gap and help meet the demands of the tech industry’s growing workforce needs through IT apprenticeships. Apprenti combines paid on-the-job training and education, for placement in a high-skill occupation with local employers. Northeast Ohio has been identified as a possible location for the Apprenti model to be implemented.
