Advocacy Partners and Coalitions
The Great Lakes Metro Chambers Coalition is a collective of chambers of commerce across the Great Lakes region that jointly advocate on core policy issues, including water quality, immigration reform, trade, and transportation and infrastructure. Since its founding in 2008, the coalition has become a leading and effective voice on federal policy impacting the Great Lakes region.
The Ohio Aerospace & Aviation Council is a statewide, industry-driven economic development organization designed to: (1) attract and retain key growth-oriented companies; and (2) work collaboratively with leaders from all regions to strengthen and grow Ohio’s aerospace and aviation industry including related federal, academic, nonprofit installations and assets.
The Ohio Metro Chambers Coalition is comprised of nine chambers of commerce representing Ohio’s largest metropolitan areas and the Ohio Chamber of Commerce. Its current focus is on promoting and implementing policies that will help Ohio’s state government become more flexible, adaptive and innovative, while searching for new ways to improve services and increase productivity.
The National Small Business Association (NSBA) is a nonpartisan organization with 65,000 members in every state and every industry in the U.S. NSBA is the nation’s first small-business advocacy organization and offers access to the latest resources, information and best practices in advocacy for members, government offices and the media. NSBA boasts decades of small-business advocacy expertise, from long-serving leadership to a knowledgeable and well-connected government affairs team.
An initiative of the Greater Cleveland Partnership, the Greater Cleveland Civic Connection promotes regular collaboration between private sector leadership and five vital public agencies: The City of Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, the Greater Cleveland Regional Transit Authority (GCRTA), the Port of Cleveland and the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD). While infrastructure remains among the group’s primary priorities, Civic Connection now works to facilitate wider-ranging economic development goals.
