Opportunity Corridor Project Leadership

The Opportunity Corridor, a catalytic $380 million investment to strategically redevelop more than 200 acres of underutilized land along on the southeast side of Cleveland, is the epitome of a regional public-private partnership. The participants of the 21-member steering committee embody a diverse wealth of knowledge, experience and resources needed to navigate the various challenges and constraints facing the project. Co-chaired by Terrance Egger, Publisher of The Plain Dealer and Jaime Ireland, Managing Partner of Early Stage Partners, the committee will encourage public dialogue and input to achieve consensus support of all matters related to the planning, design and construction of the corridor in a manner that is beneficial to the neighborhoods within the corridor and the city of Cleveland as a whole.
Terri Hamilton Brown, a longtime community leader, will serve as project director for the Opportunity Corridor. Brown will serve as the civic liaison to Ohio Dept. of Transportation (ODOT) District 12 and assist it in its efforts to advance the project. Brown will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all aspects of project development related to community engagement, economic development planning, securing private funding and coordinating public resources.
