NorTech

NorTech, the Northeast Ohio Technology Coalition, is a technology-based economic development organization that represents more than 150 technology leaders from throughout the region on its Board of Directors and Technology Resource Council.  The regional technology leaders work together with NorTech to build a vibrant, globally-competitive, innovation driven, technology economy by: Leading technology projects that have an impact on the region’s innovation infrastructure; Linking together regional technology leaders and innovation assets to spur collaboration and commercialization; and Leveraging public and private investments to revitalize Northeast Ohio’s economy. NorTech was created in 1999 by Cleveland Tomorrow, one of GCP’s predecessor organizations.  NorTech, which is independently governed, is important to advancing GCP’s mission, has structural connections with GCP and receives significant financial support from GCP.

JumpStart Inc.

JumpStart

JumpStart is Northeast Ohio’s venture development organization.  It accelerates the growth of early-stage businesses and ideas into venture-ready companies by delivering vital, focused resources to entrepreneurs in Northeast Ohio.  JumpStart identifies and invests in early-stage companies that have strong potential in the marketplace, solid prospects for high growth, and are likely to qualify for later-stage funding.  Beyond investing, the JumpStart team provides a continuum of business development services to its client and portfolio companies to help ensure their success.  JumpStart, which is independently governed, is important to advancing GCP’s mission, has structural connections with GCP and receives significant financial support from GCP.

BioEnterprise

Bio Enterprise

BioEnterprise Corporation is a business formation, recruitment and acceleration company committed to being a leader in supporting the growth of bioscience companies.  BioEnterprise provides management, business development, and capital access services to its clients, which include emerging medical device, biopharmaceutical, and health care services companies.  BioEnterprise, which is independently governed, is important to advancing GCP’s mission, has structural connections with GCP and receives significant financial support from GCP.

Fund for Our Economic Future

Fund for our economic Future

The Fund for Our Economic Future strives to respond to an expressed need for change by convening key voices, measuring economic progress, and making grants to high impact economic development initiatives.  The Fund will invest $30 million to pursue its objectives over a three year period.  GCP and the Fund provide more than 90 percent of the operating dollars for NorTech, BioEnterprise Corporation and JumpStart.
